How shall Thor be referred to? By calling him son of Odin and lord, father of Magni and Modi and Thrud...
Chapter 53-54(p.132): In a verse by Bragi the Old, a poet is referred to with the kenning "song-making Modi".
‘Poets call me Vidur’s [Odin’s] thought-smith, getter of Gaut’s [Odin’s] gift, lack-nought hero, server of Ygg’s [Odin’s] ale, song-making Modi, skilled smith of rhyme; what is a poet other than that?’
