Vidar and Vali will dwell in the gods’ holy places when Surt’s flame goes dark. Modi and Magni shall have Miollnir when Vingnir fights no more.
Chapter 3-4(p.72): Thor can be referred to by kennings as the father of Magni.
How shall Thor be referred to? By calling him son of Odin and lord, father of Magni and Modi and Thrud...
Roskva’s brother [Thialfi] stood enraged, Magni’s father struck a victorious blow. Neither Thor nor Thialfi’s power-stone [heart] shakes with terror.
Chapter 17(p.79): Magni, at three years old, arrives after Thor's duel with Hrungnir and is the only one strong enough to lift the jötun's leg off of Thor.
Then Magni, son of Thor and Iarnsaxa, arrived. He was then three years old. He threw Hrungnir’s leg off Thor and said:
‘Isn’t it a terrible shame, father, that I arrived so late. I think I would have knocked this giant into Hel with my fist if I had come across him.’
